CoZap is used for rapid removal of Coomassie Blue stain from electrophoresis gels without the need to change the destaining solution. CoZap is a unique pad that has a high absorbance for Coomassie Blue stain ans is thus very effective in destaining gels. CoZap absorbs any free dye in the solution, making gel destaining 20% faster than the conventional method. 

Instructions:

1. Place the CoZap pad in your destaining tank with the gel and destaining solution. NOTE: CoZap is not recommended for solutions more concentrated than a 10% solution of acetic acid/methanol.
2. Remove the gel after destaining.
3. A single CoZap pad may be used for several gels and may be left in the destaining solution for the next usage. When the CoZap pad turns a deep blue color, replace the pad. It is not necessary to change the destaining solution when replacing the CoZap pad.
