HSE Calibrating Multisensor Amplifier and APT-300 Pressure Transducer
This calibration guide describes how to calibrate the HSE Multi Sensor Amplifier, 73-5078, and the APT-300 Pressure Transducer for PLUGSYS Modules, 73-3862.
The full manual for the HSE Multi-Sensor Amp can be found HERE.
The full manual for the HSE APT300 transducer can be found HERE.
The Multi Sensor amplifier can be recalibrated easily . You will need a pressure calibrator to apply a defined pressure to the pressure transducer.
Remove the red transport stoppers from your APT300 transducers, they are not necessary
- Switch on the Multi Sensor Amplifier
- It should display APT300 and the selected range. There will be a brief delay and then the currently measured pressure will be displayed in mmHg.
- Now press and hold the Range/Enter button for 3 seconds
- Change the Range with the Change/Zero button to +200mmHg. Press Enter.
- Now apply zero pressure to the transducer--open the 3-way stopcock to air-press enter.
- At this point check the display, it tells you what to do next:
- After consulting the display. Apply 100mmHg with the pressure calibrator to the open port on the 3-way stopcock and press enter when you have the 100mmHg applied and it remains stable..
- The unit will say "Value Taken" and then this value is stored.
- There will be a 2 second delay. The display will now show the measured pressure. We recommend applying several pressures with the pressure calibrator to check the displayed readings.
- NOTE: Don't forget to move the 3-way stopcock back to the measure position.
- If you switch on the Multi Sensor Amp next time it has this calibration stored, it directly comes up in the measurement mode and displays the measured pressure, so nothing else to do than switching it on.
- It is recommended that you always do a zero calibration before a measurement.
- Open the 3-way stopcock on the APT300 to air
- Press the Zero/Change button for 3 seconds, it takes the zero value
- Move the 3-way stopcock back to measure position
